Nowadays if you want to start a new career, you don't need to go in blind as you can have a taster to see if you like it and then make a decision. The same goes for racing; most young men think it's cool and may even attempt to do so in a normal car but this is illegal and dangerous. America is known for illegal racing also known as drag racing but did you know you can also make a career out of it?

Racing experience days

Racing experience is not only for people who want a career as a racer but also for people young and old to get behind the wheel and see what it's like to go as fast as you can for a day. It's not as easy as it looks and there are loads of checks on the vehicle and driver before a race to make sure it is safe to do so. Racing experience is a great gift for a birthday, anniversary or special occasion.

Types of racing experience?

You can experience driving many different vehicle types from luxury sports cars, 4x4's, motorbikes, rage buggies, rally cars and so much more. Prices usually start from around £40 to a whopping £1,000 depending on the type of racing experience you want to try. With so many different races to choose from, it can be hard to choose just one.

What happens on a racing experience day?

You will have a time that you will need to be there and an induction will be done; usually there is a group of people on the day. If you have a VIP experience day, then it will just be you and an instructor. You will usually be able to bring a friend or family member with you but they won't be able to participate in any of the thrills and rides but they can take pictures from the sidelines. Sometimes there will be a photographer on site that will take your pictures throughout your racing experience and you can purchase them at the end of the day if you wish to do so. Some places also give you a small souvenir to take home with you along with a certificate to show what you did on the day; most people put it in a frame and hang it on the wall.

There are many different types of racing experiences to choose from and racing in a sports car is the most popular but many people also find Formula 1 racing experiences to also be exciting. Most racing experience days require you hold a drivers licence but there are some that require no driving experience at all so can be suitable for children. Be warned that if you are purchasing for a young teenager or youth, you may find that they want to become a racing car driver afterwards!
